Privacy Policy

Wagly (“we”, “us”) makes a dog-care app and this website. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose. Questions? Write to hello@wagly.in.
Wagly is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no advertising. We do not sell your data or your dog's data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
What we collect
- Your account — your phone number (used to sign you in by one-time code), and a display name and city if you add them.
- Your dog's information — everything you choose to add: profile and breed, photos, vaccinations, vet visits, weight, bathroom log, feeding schedules, training sessions and milestones.
- Walk location — while you are recording a walk, we store the GPS route so we can draw the map, distance and pace. Walk tracking continues in the background so the route keeps recording when your screen is off.
- Approximate area — if you have already granted location permission, we may store a coarse position (rounded to roughly 1 km) and a city name on your profile, so we can offer services by area. We never prompt for this separately, and it is deliberately too coarse to identify your home.
- Device and diagnostics — app version, platform, OS version, device model, an install identifier, in-app events and crash reports. This is used to fix bugs and see which features are used.
- Messages you send us — if you use a form on this website, we store the name, phone number, email, message and (for partners) your profession, along with the page you submitted from and your browser's user-agent string, so we can reply and filter spam.
What we do not collect
- Microphone and audio. Wagly plays sounds (the training clicker) but never records audio. The app does not request microphone access.
- Payment details, because there is nothing to pay for.
- Your contacts, calendar, or messages.
How long we keep it
- Your dog's records — kept until you delete them or delete your account. A dog you delete is fully removed after a 15-day grace period, so an accidental deletion can be undone.
- Usage events and sessions — automatically deleted after 90 days.
- Crash reports — automatically deleted after 180 days.
Sharing
Information is shared with another person only when you invite them — a co-parent, walker, sitter or vet. They see only the parts the role you chose allows, you can revoke access at any time, and access can be set to expire on its own.
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: hosting and database (Supabase), one-time code delivery, maps, push notifications and app updates, and Google Sign-In if you choose it. They may not use your data for their own purposes.
Your choices
- Access, correct or export your data.
- Delete your account from inside the app — Profile → Settings. This removes your account and the records attached to it.
- Turn location, notifications and sharing on or off at any time, in your device settings or in the app.
Children
Wagly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app.
